We know practically everything about Georgina Rodríguez thanks to I Am Georgina, the documentary series where she revealed all the details of her life as a mother, influencer, businesswoman and wife of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. It is also no secret that she declares herself devout. Now she has revealed a new detail: she loves masses attended by Francoism nostalgics. Last Tuesday Rodríguez, who has more than 70 million followers on Instagram, shared several videos and photos on social media of her visit to the Cuelgamuros Valley. In the images, Cristiano Ronaldo's partner can be seen attending mass in the company of some of her children. Rodríguez did not miss anything, and she shared it: the communion, the choir's singing, and the lighting of the incense. She also showed some details of the large Francoist monument, without mentioning at any time who built it and for what reason, nor the thousands of people buried there. She even took a photograph in front of the 150-meter-high monumental cross located at the top of the Risco de la Nava, omnipresent and intentionally visible from the outskirts of Madrid.

"The most beautiful mass I have attended", wrote the influencer to accompany one of the posts. She also shared a photo with the father prior of the monastery, Alfredo Maroto, with whom she would have spoken for a few minutes after the celebration. As can be seen from the published stories, Rodríguez attended the usual 11 a.m. mass, a ceremony that is held daily in the basilica and includes Gregorian chants performed by the center's choir. The Benedictine monks of the Valley of the Fallen usually use very traditional liturgy, in Latin and Gregorian, which recalls the celebrations before the Second Vatican Council. Perhaps this is where the influencer found the charm.

The visit has not gone unnoticed on social media. Some users have speculated, some ironically, about the possibility that Rodríguez and Ronaldo will celebrate their future wedding in this symbol of the persistence of Francoism and the "petrification of the dictatorship". Other internet users have expressed discomfort with the visit. Francoism nostalgics have applauded it.
