Trump disguises himself as a Pope with AI
The President of the United States has published an image of himself made with artificial intelligence on Truth Social, where he is seen dressed as a pontiff.

BarcelonaDonald Trump's career before entering politics was especially multifaceted: businessman, actor, star of a reality, writer... Once he was president of the United States, the Republican has made it clear that his ambition – or his narcissism – has no limits. And this Saturday he surprised everyone by publishing an image of himself dressed as the Pope on Truth Social, his social network. The image, shared on X by the official White House account, is made with artificial intelligence and has sparked controversy on the networks. Trump appears dressed in a white cassock, miter and golden cross, making the gesture of blessing.
"I would like to be Pope. This would be my number one choice. I think I would be a great Pope. Nobody would do it better than me," the president had already said on Wednesday from the White House. A comment that, evidently, everyone took as a joke. The publication of this photograph coincides as the Catholic Church prepares to hold the conclave that will elect the new pontiff, which will take place on Wednesday, following the death of Pope Francis on Monday, April 21.
Trump has also stated that he would like the Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan, one of the American prelates present at the conclave, to be the next pope. "I have to say there's a cardinal from a place called New York who's very good. We'll see what happens," he said. The United States will have ten cardinals represented at the conclave, and Dolan already participated in the 2013 conclave, where Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio was elected as the new pope.
Trump's presence at Pope Francis' funeral on Saturday did not go unnoticed. First, because he broke protocol by attending dressed in blue instead of black, as tradition dictates in such cases. Second, because he was the subject of one of the images of the ceremony: him and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. gathered in the middle of St. Peter's Basilica.
