The Castells Competition seeks a new, clearer and more consensual scoring system.
A participatory process has been launched to develop a new roundtable for assessing human towers, which should come into effect on September 1.
The Castells Competition has sent a survey to the 42 participating groups in the last edition and will hold discussions with human tower builders, opinion leaders, and journalists "to draw up a new scoring table with the aim of achieving the broadest possible consensus and serving as a reference for many editions of the competition." This is in line with the advisory committee's 2023 plan to establish "clarity in the evaluation system, adapting it to the present and future challenges of human tower building"

The intention, according to the statement, is to gather information for the scoring table that is to come into force on September 1, 2025. Thus, the conclusions gathered in the study, within the framework of the Castells Center for Prospective and Analysis (CEPAC) grant, of the proposals for improving the Competition.
The survey also asks for feedback on other aspects such as duration, internal regulations, jury composition, and ticket sales system, among others.
