The new guide to Empordanet cuisine has been presented.

It was the first restaurant collective in Catalonia and commemorates its 30th anniversary.

LofriedLa Cuina de l'Empordanet presented its new restaurant guide at an event held at the La Sala de Isaac restaurant in Llofriu, Palafrugell. The event was attended by chefs and dining room managers from the 16 restaurants that make up the Empordanet gastronomic collective; its president, Vicenç Fajardo; and various dignitaries. The event also commemorated the collective's 30th anniversary. "It was a visionary collective, the first of its kind in Catalonia," said Vanessa Peiró, deputy delegate for Girona Excellent and Markets at the Girona Provincial Council. Fajardo, for her part, predicted they would have "a good season" and expressed satisfaction with seeing that "a good generational change is guaranteed."

The guide is the collective's letter of introduction, which identifies the member restaurants of the association and disseminates basic information about each restaurant through clear and accessible communication.

The guide contributes to creating a coherent brand identity, highlighting the restaurants' interior and exterior spaces, as well as the combined photographs of chefs and dining room staff. This decision is in line with the group's current focus on dignifying and giving greater visibility to the work done by dining room staff, as well as putting it on a par with that of the kitchen.

The guide, which has been published in two versions—one in Catalan and French, and the other in Spanish and English—serves to publicize and promote the 16 restaurants that make up the group. Furthermore, the publication of La Cuina de l'Empordanet is also a useful tool for tourist information providers in the area, as it is distributed in all the region's tourist offices and other information points. In this sense, it's worth noting that the guide is not only designed for visitors and tourists, but also for locals, so they can enjoy the most prestigious and renowned establishments in the area.
