BarcelonaConcert tickets advertised at one price, but then shown at a higher price by the end of the purchase process. Disproportionate management costs. So-called dynamic pricing, which supposedly increases based on supply and demand, but lacks transparency... All of this has prompted complaints from buyers and the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), but it hasn't prevented tickets for performances by artists like Lady Gaga and Bad from selling out on the ticket sales platform Ticketmaster. Now, the Spanish Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption, and the 2030 Agenda says it will "investigate a large ticket management company for alleged irregularities in the online sales process for concerts in Spain by a well-known international artist."

The ministry has not said who the "well-known international artist" is, but admits that the investigation was launched "after receiving complaints filed by consumer associations, which warned of illegal charges being levied during the online purchasing process, referring to concepts that were allegedly applied without sufficient transparency." According to the ministry, if these practices were confirmed, "the facts could constitute a breach of consumer protection regulations." The latest complaints filed by the OCU (Organization of American States) concerned Lady Gaga's concerts in Barcelona and Bad Bunny's concerts in Madrid and Barcelona.
