These are the Catalan municipalities with the highest property cadastral values.
Naut Aran, Port de la Selva, and Begur led the cadastral values in Catalonia in 2022.

BarcelonaThe municipalities of Naut Aran (Vall d'Aran), Port de la Selva (Alt Empordà), and Begur (Baix Empordà) were the three Catalan towns with the highest cadastral value of residential properties in 2022, according to data collected by the Spanish General Council of Economists published this Thursday. Furthermore, the same study confirms that Matadepera (Vallès Occidental) and Sant Just Desvern (Baix Llobregat) remained the municipalities with the highest income in Catalonia that same year.
Thus, the municipality of Naut Aran—which includes the towns of Arties, Salardú, Gessa, Tredòs, Montgarri, and Bagergue—was where the highest cadastral value per inhabitant of residential properties was recorded among all Catalan towns with more than 1,000 inhabitants, at 158.85. At the national level, only Noja, in Cantabria, and Benahavís, in Málaga, surpass it. Furthermore, Port de la Selva and Begur, with €152,785.79 and €131,777.81 per inhabitant respectively, occupied fourth and sixth positions in the Spanish ranking. Pals, in Alt Empordà, also entered the national top 10 in ninth place with €101,514.09 per person.
Among the municipalities with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, Prats and Sansor, in Cerdanya, stood out, leading the Spanish ranking with a residential cadastral value of €239,012.67 per inhabitant. At the other end of the spectrum, Rajadell (Bages) had the lowest residential property value in Catalonia (and the second lowest in Spain, surpassed only by Villa de Mazo in Tenerife), with an average per capita value of €6,097.92. Aguilar de Segarra, also in Bages and a neighboring town of Rajadell, had the second lowest cadastral value in Catalonia and the fifth lowest in Spain, with €6,756.92 per capita.
There were few changes in household income.
In terms of income, Pozuelo de Alarcón, on the outskirts of Madrid, once again led the Spanish ranking in terms of both gross and net income, both per household and per person. In Catalonia, Matadepera, with €24,814 per person, was the municipality with the highest net income per capita in 2022. It was followed by five very small municipalities that also ranked among the top ten in Spain: Bolvir (Cerdanya), with €24,812 net per capita; Palacio de Santa Eulalia (Alt Empordà), with €24,437; Madremanya (Baix Empordà), with €24,190; Vilamòs (Vall d'Aran), with €24,052; and El Brull (Osona), with €23,957. In some cases, these small municipalities (none of the five mentioned reach 600 inhabitants) can see the average skewed by the presence of a few high-income residents.
By household, Matadepera, with 79,553 euros per family, was also the municipality with the highest net income. El Brull also made it into the national top 10, along with Fontanilles (Baix Empordà), Santa Cecilia de Voltregà (Osona), and Sant Cugat del Vallès (Vallès Occidental).
Sant Just Desvern was the Catalan municipality with the highest gross income per capita, at €37,301, and the highest disposable income per capita, at €26,557. Also at the top of the Spanish ranking were Cabrils (Maresme), Matadepera, and Sant Cugat.
