Three new projects. And there will be even more in the coming months. This is the driving force behind chef Nandu Jubany, one of the most active in the country, and perhaps one of the highest-paying chefs among the all the establishments he manages, both in the Principality and in FormenteraAt the Hotel Miramar in Barcelona, the Nandu Jubany brand will be found in the gastronomic spaces: not in the restaurants, but in the hotel's other spaces where you can also eat and drink. This initiative will be inaugurated next week, after a few months of work, and will become the second hotel where the chef from Calldetenes has supervised spaces. The first in Barcelona was the Hotel Majestic, owned by the Soldevila family, on Passeig de Gràcia.

To continue, in one of the most prized corners of Vic's Plaza Mayor, opposite the Solà and Can Vilada butcher shops, the chef will open his first hamburger restaurant, which will be the starting point for many others he imagines opening throughout Catalonia. In fact, in The next Cata en la Rambla, the gastronomic festival that begins on Thursday, May 8, in Plaza Catalunya, the chef will already have the hamburgers for sale, because the project has also been conceived in a street format, that is, with food truckThe burger joints will be named Vacanal, a play on words with cow and Bacchanalia (in the sense of a festival), and the idea he's working with is that you can eat both beef burgers from the cows on his own farm in Guilleries, as well as other animals, such as pork and chicken. Next to Vacanal, there will be Vacanal Dulce, an ice cream parlor with which he hopes diners can eat the whole thing by ordering on one side and on the other, sitting at one of the tables on the terrace, which will be shared between the two establishments. The two new establishments in Vic's Plaza Mayor, which in recent years has, it must be said, lost personality and has been given over to franchises that can be found everywhere, chef Nandu Jubany is working to open it in June, as announced by the Vic newspaper on 9 New.

This past winter, Nandu Jubany opened a new space in Andorra called Piolet, located on the Grau Roig ski slopes. This space allows both skiers and non-skiers to recharge their batteries by eating bowls or pizzas, like those he makes at his Formentera pizzeria, located opposite the port. Jubany is a tireless campaigner who has managed to bring beloved dishes like croquettes to all parts of the country and the world. With a bakery located in the town of Taradell, his croquettes are sold in the United Kingdom and also the United States, although in these countries they are different from those in Catalonia, because they are pan-fried and made with chorizo.
