Today, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of the strategy for many forward-thinking organizations that want to grow with purpose, consistency, and a positive impact. At the Mas Albornà Foundation in Vilafranca del Penedès, they see this more and more clearly: companies are no longer just looking to carry out activities of team buildingThey're not just looking for training or corporate events; they want to transcend, connect with their purpose, and positively impact the community and the planet.

A change of perspective

This shift in perspective has led many organizations to seek genuine connections with social projects like those spearheaded by organizations such as Mas Albornà, which has been working for over half a century to promote the social and professional integration of people with intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, and those at risk of social exclusion. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has ceased to be a one-off action and has become a strategic management tool, sustained over time, capable of transforming both society and the companies themselves.

From the Penedès region, this social organization positions itself as a strategic ally, supporting companies that want to promote projects with real impact: corporate volunteering programs, job placement, and circular and social economy initiatives. These actions not only improve and provide opportunities for the betterment of the lives of people with disabilities or mental health conditions, but also strengthen the internal culture of companies.

Cristina Barbacil, Communications Director of the Mas Albornà Foundation, explains that Mas Albornà observed a growing demand from companies for actions that help reinforce their purpose and create a positive impact. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has proven to be a great way to achieve this. "That's why the Foundation offers specific services in this area and has a dedicated department," adds Barbacil.

More humane and committed work environments

The new generation of professionals is no longer looking for a high salary: they want to work for companies with a shared purpose and values. In this sense, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a key tool for attracting and retaining talent, creating a more humane, committed, and meaningful work environment. "We see it every day. When a company collaborates with us, whether through corporate volunteering, responsible purchasing, or contracting services, it not only contributes to improving the lives of people in need, but also fosters well-being within its organization," says Montse Mondelo, Director of Reputation and CSR at the Mas Albornà Foundation. "Companies are increasingly seeking the social aspect of their actions. And it is precisely in this aspect that meaning, purpose, and a future are found," Mondelo concludes.
