Chad's president, Idris Déby, dies in clash with rebels

Chad's President, Idriss Déby, died in a clash with rebels in the north of the country this weekend, the army said. Provisional election results projected he would win a sixth term in office. Now government and parliament have been dissolved and a military council will temporarily rule.
