Betevé debuts new director with a dozen new additions
Among the new spaces, there are those for gastronomy, culture and magazines


BarcelonaBetevé begins a new era with Georgina Ferri as director and with more than a dozen new additions to its lineup. This Tuesday, Barcelona's municipal television station presented its programming for this year, which includes new cultural and news programs and will begin on September 15. Ferry, who was appointed director of Betevé in December 2024, explained that the creation of the new programming schedule was carried out with the complicity of the staff thanks to a bottom-up process. "A dozen new programs have emerged, but we have forty more ideas in store," Ferri remarked, who recalled that this year the municipal media have a budget of 20 million euros.
In total, this season there will be twelve premieres, divided between television and radio, which they want to promote. In total, the new programs include six in-house productions, four external productions, and two new news programs. The schedule will begin with Good morning, Barcelona, the morning radio show that will also be broadcast on television and will air from 9 to 10 a.m. Each day will feature a current affairs interview and a discussion focused solely on the city. On Fridays, the program will feature a television analysis section with Àlex Gutiérrez and Rocco Steinhäuser.
One of the notable new features of the new programming is the gastronomy segment. B for taste, hosted by Carmen Cortés and broadcast Monday through Friday at 1:30 p.m. The journalist explained that the television program is a tribute to the city's gastronomy and will have "a 360-degree view."
The afternoon slot, from 4 to 6 p.m., will be occupied by the magazine show. Orbit B, which was born as a radio program but can also be seen on DTT. The presenters will be Candela Figueras and Anna-Priscila Magriñà, who confirmed that the new program will have a "Barcelona DNA." The range of collaborators includes Elisenda Pineda, Toni Garcia Ramon, Eloi Vila, and Ramon Pardina.

In the news section, the show returns infobarrios, A public television news program dedicated to explaining the reality of Barcelona's neighborhoods. Presented by Núria Llabina, it will air Monday through Friday at 7 p.m.
