Brain Film Fest
CCCB (Barcelona). From March 12 to 16
The Brain Film Fest will be held at the CCCB until March 16th. This is the first and only festival in Europe dedicated to exploring the complexity of the brain, its capabilities, diseases, and conditions through film and scientific outreach. This 8th edition focuses on the theme of fear and how it can overcome it, exploring how this feeling can paralyze us or drive us to change our reality. Gourmet Walk
Barcelona. March 13-23
From March 13th to 23rd, Passeig de Gràcia will be transformed into Passeig de Gourmets, the first gastronomic festival on this Barcelona street. For ten days, the avenue and surrounding streets will offer a popular route of dishes, signature sandwiches, creative pastries, gourmet menus, and experiences for the most discerning. The offerings will be presented by the nineteen most prominent restaurants in the area participating in the festival, some of which have Michelin stars.
3rd DanceArtFest
Dancescape! Studio (Lleida). March 15
The 3rd edition of DanceArtFest, a micro-festival that becomes a meeting point for art, culture, and creativity. It takes place on a route through different venues where attendees will experience dance, theater, live music, visual arts, audiovisual arts, and a tasting of a local product. During this tour, the artists participating in this edition will present small-format pieces to share with the audience in an intimate and engaging format.
Japan Weekend
Barcelona Fair (Hospitalet de Llobregat). March 15
On March 15th, you can enjoy manga, anime, video games, and much more in Hall 4 of the Fira Barcelona - Gran Via in Hospitalet de Llobregat. In addition to the most popular cultural and gastronomic activities in Japan, there will also be competitions such as the Cosplay Catwalk, a karaoke competition, and the Japan Weekend Idol Exhibition. Musicians will perform, and other artists will have their own space at the festival to promote and sign their products. Admission will be from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and general admission will cost €16, with Youth Card holders €14.50, and children under 7 are free.
Barcelona Marathon
Barcelona. March 16
The Barcelona Marathon will take place on March 16th. The 42.195 km route will pass through several iconic locations in the city, and its motto will be Make it yours (Make it yours). This year, the number of participants reached an all-time high, with nearly 30,000 race numbers sold, which sold out shortly after they went on sale. The start will be on Passeig de Gràcia, between Plaça Catalunya and Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, at 8:30 a.m., and the finish will be at the Arc de Triomf.
Vintage Markets
Barcelona. March 14, 15, and 16

Metropolitan Dance
Several cities in the metropolitan area. March 13-30
From March 13th to 30th, dance will once again fill theaters, streets, and unique spaces with the eighth edition of Dansa Metropolitana. The festival brings more than 100 performances to 12 cities in the metropolitan region and explores the connection between body and sound, turning music into a driving force of movement and drama. The program will feature free performances in public spaces.
#8M: Music and Technology in the Stands
Athenaeum of Digital and Democratic Innovation - Canòdrom (Barcelona). March 14
Fifth edition of #8M: Music and Technology in the Stands, the music and digital feminism series that champions diverse female talent in the music and technology industries. The event will combine training, debate, and a live performance, with artists and industry experts addressing the challenges of digitalization, artificial intelligence, and metadata sovereignty from a feminist perspective.
2nd March of the Clocha
Boat. March 15
On March 15th, the second edition of the Clotxa March will be held. This Nordic walking route features two routes (6 km and 12 km) that pass through vineyards, olive groves, and almond trees. As a complement to the march, several farmhouses in the municipality will open their doors to welcome all participants (athletes, visitors, and residents) who want to taste the clotxa de la Terra Alta, a traditional recipe made with a round loaf of bread with part of its spring removed and stuffed with salted sardines, onions, tomatoes, roasted garlic, and a splash of water.
27th Xató Festival
Villafranca del Penedès. March 16
Vilafranca del Penedès celebrates a new edition of the Xató Festival, with a morning full of activities on the Rambla de Sant Francesc, where you can taste the chatones of the Xató Route: Calafell, El Vendrell, Sitges, Vilafranca del Penedès and Vilanova i la Geltrú, with wines from the Pened DO.
