The exhibition challenges today's society to reflect on the economic and sociocultural legacy of that era and raises questions about how the profits from slave labor contributed to Catalonia's development in the 19th century and how today's society has reflected the racism of that period. By shedding light on this history, the exhibition hopes to contribute to ensuring that these events do not happen again.
