1.

'Poetry has barely begun' at the Miró Foundation

Barcelona. Until April 6, 2026

This week it opens Poetry has barely begun, an exhibition commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Center for Contemporary Art Studies, better known as the Fundació Miró. Beyond highlighting key events and figures—such as Joan Prats—who were decisive in the institution's history, the exhibition also reflects on the influence of events such as Spain's democratic transition and the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

On Sunday, June 15, two special activities will be held. On the one hand, there will be a party with food trucks, workshops, concerts, guided tours, and other activities. Also, coinciding with the summer solstice, the Sert Solstice will take place from 6 to 10 a.m., an activity that invites you to rediscover the Foundation building as conceived by its architect, Josep Lluís Sert.

2.

Dream

Barcelona. June 12-14

Barcelona hosts the 32nd edition of Sónar this week. Over three days, ten stages spread across the Montjuïc Fair and the Gran Via Fair will host major names in electronic and experimental music, such as Armin van Buuren, Skrillex, Raúl Refree + Niño de Elche, and Nathy Peluso. In addition to the concerts, attendees can participate in workshops and panel discussions on the future of innovation, creativity, and technology.

This edition has been marked by the international political situation: more than thirty artists – among them, the expected Venezuelan producer and DJ Arca – have cancelled their attendance due to the festival's ties to the pro-Israeli investment fund KKR. Although the organization issued a statement expressing its solidarity with Gaza, many artists and participants believe its response has been insufficient.
