Chappell Roan's exposed breasts steal the show on the most conservative Grammy red carpet

Many of the stars have brought pines against ICE

BarcelonaThe Grammy Awards red carpet is usually marked by an eclecticism and eccentricity that sets it apart from other awards shows this season, such as the Oscars or the Golden Globes. However, this year it was considerably more conservative, with one notable exception: singer Chappell Roan, who left virtually nothing to the imagination. The carpet also provided space for political protest, with many of the stars carrying pine trees in opposition to ICE, the controversial U.S. Immigration and Border Protection agency.

Chappell Roan

Usually closer to excess and aesthetics drag, the singer of Pink Pony Club She opted for a revealing Mugler design. The wine-colored dress—the same color as her hair—had an open back, but also an open front: the almost transparent fabric was fastened at the breasts with rings resembling nipple piercings. In this way, her breasts were exposed, as well as her numerous tattoos. Roan provided the most striking moment of the red carpet when she removed the cape she was initially wearing, revealing her daring stylistic choice.

Sabrina Carpenter

Another of the night's big stars, Sabrina Carpenter, chose a less theatrical and more innocent-looking design than Lady Gaga's. The singer of Manchild She appeared on the red carpet in a silver Valentino gown with a mermaid silhouette and beading. The bodice featured an intricate floral pattern.
