The European justice declares illegal to prohibit access to social benefits to migrants with less than 10 years of residence

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled this Thursday against the Italian law that requires a minimum of 10 years of residence to access social and labor benefits. Thus, the Luxembourg court considers that, in practice, newcomers are discriminated against.
