Catalonia obliterates the absolute record in a month of May with 39.5 ºC

Catalonia has today reached a new absolute record for heat in May. The 39.5 °C recorded in Vinebre (Ribera d'Ebre) is the highest maximum ever reached in this month, and it obliterates the record currently in force: the 38.5 °C from May 2022 in Castellbisbal and Anglès, and also equaled yesterday in Vinebre.
