The US Federal Reserve gives the green light to Santander to buy Webster Bank for €10.5 billion

The Federal Reserve of the United States (Fed, for its English acronym) has given the green light to Banco Santander to acquire the North American retail and commercial banking entity Webster Bank for 12.2 billion dollars (approximately 10.5 billion euros at current exchange rates).
