Pujol Prefabricated will invest €40 million in two new factories

The new plants will be located in Les Borges Blanques, and the Mollerussa factory will also be expanded.

BarcelonaGrupo Pujol, a company specializing in prefabricated elements for construction, announced this Wednesday investments worth almost 40 million euros to open two new production centers in Les Borges Blanques and expand its factory in Mollerussa, according to the company itself in a statement.

Specifically, it will allocate approximately 30 million euros to the construction of two new factories in the capital of Les Garrigues. The first, which is already under construction, will involve an investment of 10 million euros and will be dedicated to the manufacture of hollow core slabs—concrete panels used in industrial construction and housing. When this new plant is operational, the company will increase its production capacity of these construction elements by 30%, up to two million square meters per year.

The second Les Borges Blanques factory will be dedicated to "the manufacture of prefabricated walls and facades for residential, industrial, and agricultural uses," allowing the group to double its production to 1.6 million square meters per year, according to the statement. The complex represents an investment of €20 million and, like the other factory, will be ready next year.

Between the two new plants, Grup Pujol estimates it will create between 50 and 70 new jobs once operational.
