BarcelonaThe Pujol Group achieved global revenue of €210 million in 2024, a 3.71% increase over the previous year, the precast company reported this Thursday. The industrial sector contributed €191.6 million, while the medical sector, represented by Avantmèdic, recorded €18.5 million. The boost in new construction projects and the sustained increase in cement sales are noteworthy. Treanor Pujol, a British subsidiary specializing in precast concrete floors, increased its revenue by 36%, ranking as the third largest company in the sector in terms of volume in the United Kingdom. This year, the group plans to invest in the ReGenera industrial estate in Les Borges Blanques and in Mollerussa, with projects that are expected to create jobs and boost business activity in the area.

Pujol's industrial EBITDA (earnings before taxes and depreciation) was €22.4 million, equivalent to 12% of turnover. Despite inflation in raw material prices not reflected in sales and the effort to strengthen the group's structure, the company maintains that it has managed to maintain an EBITDA-to-turnover ratio in line with the previous year.

During 2024, the group allocated €8 million to investments, representing a 51% increase compared to the previous year. These investments were mainly allocated to the purchase of machinery and digitalization to strengthen the efficiency and sustainability of its production centers.

Furthermore, the Ribalta Pujol brand was created, a new company dedicated to concrete with six plants in Catalonia. The company has a production capacity of more than 120,000 cubic meters per year and an estimated turnover of €9 million.

Pujol closed 2024 with a workforce of 827 people, representing 106 new hires. At the same time, as part of its internal development plan, the firm provided more than 5,000 hours of training during the year, 28% more than the previous year, with the aim of strengthening the technical and transversal skills of its teams.

The group also champions the active promotion of gender equality, which, with 34% of its workforce being women, makes it a company that far exceeds the national average for the sector (11.40%, according to the Construction Labor Foundation).

Looking ahead to 2025, the group assures that it will maintain its commitment to sustained, organic growth, prioritizing the reinvestment of profits to strengthen its industrial project and generate long-term value. In this regard, the investments planned for the ReGenera industrial estate in Les Borges Blanques and Mollerussa stand out, with projects expected to have a direct impact on job creation and a positive impact on the area's economic and social fabric.
