BarcelonaMetropolis has purchased a building in the heart of the City London for €52 million to an institutional fund. The office building is located at 36 Queen Street. The transaction is part of the company's strategic plan for international growth.

The building, designed in 1980 by Sir Terry Farrell and renovated in 2014 by London & Oriental with a project by Rolfe Judd Architects, covers 4,343 square meters spread over eight floors. Located just minutes from Mansion House and Cannon Street, the area stands out for its excellent connectivity and location in one of Europe's most active financial districts. The building is currently 85% occupied, and a recently renovated floor is available for sale.

For Oriol Tomàs Carulla, the company's president, this transaction reflects "the company's clear commitment to growth in Europe" and is part of its strategic plan "aimed at consolidating a diversified portfolio of quality offices in major capital cities." "Our objective," adds Oriol Tomàs, "is to maintain a geographic balance that strengthens the resilience of our assets and provides long-term value to our shareholders."

With this acquisition, Metrópolis has added 12 properties to its portfolio, with a total of 90,000 square meters of leasable area and an estimated value of €500 million. The company has a presence in the five main European markets: Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Poland. International business now accounts for 50% of the total, both in terms of value and revenue.
