Hotels Bestprice delivers shares to all staff, from chambermaids to managers
The Catalan chain, which is listed on Euronext Paris with about 85.7 million in capitalization, highlights that all of its staff are permanent
BarcelonaHotels Bestprice has culminated its incentive plan through shares, which includes chambermaids and reception and maintenance staff, in addition to executives. The Catalan hotel chain's program, which extends to practically the entire staff, has been promoted by the board of directors "as a formula for recognizing the commitment, effort, and extraordinary contribution of professionals who have played a relevant role in the company's evolution in recent years", according to a statement.
"Companies are built by people. And we firmly believe that those who contribute decisively to creating value must also have the opportunity to participate in it, and the more the better", points out Óscar Sánchez, president of the chain. The shares awarded are traded on the Euronext Paris stock market, with a capitalization currently of 85.7 million euros. CaixaBank, BBVA, Banc Sabadell, Banc Santander, Degiro, MyInvestor, Renta4, ING, and Interactive Brokers support the company with stock brokerage.
"Unique Management"
The Share Incentive Plan is part of "a unique management philosophy and business culture that has accompanied Hotels Bestprice since its inception and that places people at the center of its growth strategy". The company highlights that "all employees are permanent and no outsourcing is done nor temporary employment agencies are used".
The company considers that "motivation, involvement, and a sense of belonging" are key factors for maintaining the high standards of quality, profitability, management efficiency, and customer satisfaction that characterize the brand.
Hotels Bestprice specializes in budget establishments, also known as budget in Spain. In Barcelona, it has the Bestprice Diagonal, Maragall, Gràcia, and Barcelona Stadium hotels, and one in Girona, in addition to those in Madrid, Santillana del Mar, and Toledo. It will soon incorporate three new establishments in Cordoba, Malaga, and Logroño, bringing the total to 13 hotels.
