Elon Musk proposes that Spain's open spaces become a large solar power plant to supply Europe.
The founder of SpaceX argues in Davos that the technology already exists and all that is needed is the will to put it into action
This Wednesday, during the World Economic Forum in DavosElon Musk has asserted that a large solar power plant located in sparsely populated areas of Spain or Sicily could generate enough energy to power all of Europe. According to the entrepreneur, the necessary facilities are technologically feasible and simply need to be implemented. Musk cited China as an example, where solar plants already produce 540 gigawatts (GW) annually.
Musk also spoke about the humanoid robots that SpaceX plans to market by the end of next year, envisioning them as assisting with the care of the elderly, dependents, and pets, in the context of an increasingly aging population. During his presentation on artificial intelligence, he also stated that he believes it will be "smarter than any human by 2030," and reflected on aging, extraterrestrial life, and his plans to travel to Mars.
