BarcelonaThe four tolls on the Generalitat's highways will increase by around 3% in 2026, according to a resolution that includes the Official Gazette of the Generalitat (DOGC). Specifically, the Vallvidrera tunnels will see a 2.99% increase in tolls, reaching €5.28 for cars during peak hours. The C-16 tunnel between Sant Cugat and Manresa will rise by 2.96%, and the C-32 tolls between Castelldefels and El Vendrell will increase by 2%. The section between Castelldefels and Sitges will now cost €4.21 for essential travel vehicles on weekdays and €8.42 for all others. Additionally, the toll for the Cadí tunnel will increase by 2.82%, as confirmed to ACN by sources in the Department of Territory.

Toll rates are adjusted based on the October CPI, which was 3.1%, applying a correction factor depending on whether actual traffic volumes were equal to or higher than projected. Thus, the cost of passing through the Vallvidrera tunnels will see the largest increase in 2026. Specifically, car drivers will have to pay €4.70 during off-peak hours – 14 cents more – and €5.28 during peak hours, 15 cents more than now. The toll for the Cadí tunnel will increase by 40 cents for non-residents and cars without discounts, reaching €14.56 per vehicle. Motorcycles will have to pay €11.73, and heavier vehicles up to €38.11. On the C-16, the main section through San Vicente de Castellet will cost €5.81 for cars from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) and €9.76 for all other car journeys. Motorcycles will pay €2.91 on weekdays and €4.88 on weekends and holidays. On the section between Sant Cugat and Terrassa, the toll will be €1.43 on weekdays and €3.19 on weekends and holidays. On the C-32 motorway, between Castelldefels and Sitges, vehicles with essential travel will pay €2.02 for motorcycles and €4.21 for cars. Other vehicles will pay €4.05 for motorcycles and €8.42 for cars that do not return via the same toll plaza within 24 hours. The Cubelles toll will cost €5.03 for cars that do not regularly use the road; the access barrier to Cubelles, €2.69, and the toll in Calafell, €0.79. Finally, the Government assumes around €55 million annually in bonuses, discounts, ancillary measures, and reductions applied to tolls on the Generalitat's highways or other measures. Specifically, there are 75% discounts for zero-emission vehicles and 30% discounts for low-emission vehicles.
