ByteTravel debuts on the SME stock exchange
The Catalan travel services company rings the bell on the Barcelona stock exchange
BarcelonaThe Catalan company for auxiliary tourism and travel services ByteTravel has debuted on the SME stock exchange, BME Growth, after almost two years listed on BME Scaleup. It is the second company to make the leap from one market to another. The stock market debut began with an increase, reaching 4.84 euros, with an increment of 7.56% and a capitalization of almost 135 million. The company's CEO, Axel Serena, rang the traditional bell at the Barcelona Stock Exchange, accompanied by the managing director of BME Growth and BME Scaleup, Jesús González Nieto, and the president of the Barcelona Stock Exchange, Fausto Agelet.
The incorporation was carried out through the simplified fast track procedure, a tool created by BME Scaleup to streamline the transition between different growth markets and reduce the deadlines, costs, and administrative procedures associated with changing segments. ByteTravel, founded in 2021 and specializing in technological services for the travel sector, is listed on BME Growth under the trading code BYTE. Renta 4 Corporate will act as the registered advisor and Renta 4 Banc as the liquidity provider.
The company develops digital solutions for international travel, including visa management through the Visagov platform, which currently operates in over 70 countries and plans to expand its coverage to 150 markets in the coming years. Additionally, it promotes complementary services for tourists and business travel using technologies such as artificial intelligence, biometrics, and process automation.
