Vida Festival 2026: the 10 recommended concerts

BarcelonaLa Masia d'en Cabanyes, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, hosts a new edition of the Vida Festival on July 2, 3, and 4. The lineup, which balances emerging and established artists, includes names like La Ludwig Band, Fatboy Slim, Dan Peralbo i El Comboi, Amaia, Maria Arnal, Alcalá Norte, and Guitarricadelafuente, who align with the spirit of a festival that was born in 2014 and feels comfortable with a capacity not exceeding 10,000 people, a medium format that is almost counter-cultural in times of macro-events. Below, a dozen artists to consider for the 2026 edition.

Amaia

Example of consolidation in these recent times as a benchmark for theindie Spanish, Amaia Romero lands at the Vida festival in Vilanova before also appearing at the Cap Roig Festival. The Navarrese artist made it very clear from the outset that the trophy for winning Operación Triunfo 2017 would not distance her from the music she wanted to make. Before being the soul of festival booths, Cook was part of the group The Housemartins. Fatboy Slim will spin at the Estrella Damm stage at 2:15 AM on July 5th.

The Ludwig Band

Even though they have been in the Catalan scene for quite a few years, La Ludwig Band is at the peak of their career. The new album, Pel barri es comenta, has been a resounding success in its reception by the public and critics, and has established them as one of the reference bands of Catalan pop-rock. It is not for nothing that Lluís Gavaldà stated on the podcast La Sotana that Ludwig was one of the current bands with which he most enjoyed the entire Catalan scene. Quim Carandell's band plays on Friday, July 3rd at 10:20 PM on the La Masia stage.

Fades

One of the key musical groups in the fight for LGBTIQ+ rights and the defense of the language are Les Fades. The Mallorcan band arrives at the Vida 2026 festival after the homophobic aggression they suffered on the 25th of this month during a concert in Vilassar de Mar. After stopping the performance, the group addressed their audience through a statement on their social media, stating that "they threw ice at them several times on stage while they were performing." In a much less recognized area, Osees presents itself as one of the festival's dark horses with raw garage punk-rock. The North American band formed in San Francisco stands out, of course, for its live energy. Its vocalist and composer, John Dwyer, will land with his group on the La Cabana Jägermusic stage on July 2nd at 10:45 PM.

The LOM

Within Vida 2026, there is also room for more vintage and classical music. The instrumental trio of The Los Angeles League of Musicians (LOM) fuses rhythms like cumbia and bolero with touches of country and soul. The fusion is surprising and far from the effusiveness and electronics commonly associated with festivals. LOM performs on Thursday, July 2, at the La Cabana Jägermusic stage at 10:45 PM.
