Pianist Remei Cortés, considered the best interpreter of Frederic Mompou, dies

Barcelona-born pianist Remei Cortés Ayats, considered the finest interpreter of maestro Frederic Mompou, has died, according to sources close to her family. Cortés received the Excellence Award and the Belgian government's Medal throughout her career, in addition to Mompou's recognition.
