Princess Leonor begins her final year of military training in the Air Force.
In the coming months, the heir to the Spanish Crown will learn to pilot a training plane.
BarcelonaPrincess Leonor began the final stage of her military training this week. Leonor de Borbón will spend this last year training for the army at the General Air Force Academy, located in San Javier (Murcia), after having spent the previous two years in the army and navy. Facing this new phase of training, the heir to the Spanish throne has stated that she is "eager to learn" to fly, but "little by little."
On her first day at the academy, yesterday, Monday, Leonor first saw the Pilatus P-31 training aircraft, which she will learn to fly in the coming months accompanied by an instructor and, depending on her skill, also solo. Leonor arrived alone, as she did last year when she entered the naval school in Marín (Pontevedra). However, during her first year of training, she was accompanied by her parents, Felipe and Letizia, and her sister Sofía.
