Peugeot e-208 GTI, an electric staple
The French brand presents the most powerful and sporty version of the electric version of the 208, a zero-emission sports car reminiscent of the eighties.

The new Peugeot e-208 GTI is the Lion brand's entry into the compact electric vehicle segment, a model that aims to become the market benchmark, preempting the threat posed by the upcoming sports version of the brand-new R5 prepared by Alpine, or the Abarth 500e and Mini.
Like its great rival and compatriot R5, this Peugeot 208 GTI wants to make several references as a tribute to the sporting heritage of the Peugeot 205 GTI From the 1980s, a car that marked a turning point in the world of motorsports. From the outset, its official presentation focused on the color red, a symbol of passion, in the first official images of a vehicle measuring 4.06 meters long, 1.75 meters wide, and 1.43 meters high, with flared wheel arches and exclusive eighteen-inch wheels. The interior also features various inserts in the form of upholstery and plaques bearing the GTI name, as well as red leather details on the seats, seatbelts, and steering wheel.
A 280 hp lion with 350 km of autonomy
But what really sets the Peugeot e-208 GTI apart is its power and specific tuning. Under the hood of the new e-208 GTI is a 280 hp electric motor with 345 Nm of torque that sends power to the front wheels, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reaching an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h.
Beyond the raw power of the new e-208 GTI, it's worth highlighting the specific tuning of the chassis, suspension, stabilizer bars, and steering, with large brakes featuring 355 mm discs and four-piston calipers paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires with a 215/8 profile. In short, a true sports car designed to satisfy the demands of even the most purist drivers.
These types of vehicles don't respond to rational logic, and in this sense, it's understandable why the e-208 GTI isn't a car designed for long distances or long journeys. Its 54 kWh battery capacity allows for a maximum theoretical range of around 350 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, and it can be charged from 20% to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes at 100 kW rapid charging points.
Peugeot has already announced that the new e-208 GTI will arrive in our market at the end of 2025 at a price yet to be confirmed, but which will most likely be in the range of around 45,000 or 50,000 euros.
