COAPI will have a female president for the first time
The Consum Group remodels its management leadership


BarcelonaThe COAPI (Spanish Association of Auditors) will have a female president for the first time in its 75-year history. It will be Montserrat Junyent, a law graduate and vice president of FADEI (Fair Trade and Development). This week, there have also been changes in the leadership of the Consum supermarket group, the Mediterranean Arc of Auditors will have a Catalan president, and Correos Express will have a new leadership position.
Montserrat Junyent, the first woman to preside over the COAPI in Barcelona
The Official Association of Real Estate Agents (COAPI) of Barcelona begins a new era with the election of Montserrat Junyent as its new president, becoming the first woman to lead the institution in its more than 75-year history. Junyent will lead the organization for the next four years. The Barcelona COAPI is the largest in Spain, with more than 1,000 members.
With over 35 years of experience, Junyent holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona, led her own multidisciplinary firm, and served as legal advisor to the Catalan Council of the COAPI of Catalonia, the General Council of the COAPI of Spain, and director of legal services for the COAPI of Barcelona. In addition to chairing the AIC, she currently serves as vice president of the Federation of Real Estate Business Associations (FADEI), the Spanish real estate sector's trade association.
Consum is reorganizing its leadership.
The supermarket group Consum is reorganizing its management team with the aim of "responding to the current challenges of the sector." Thus, Consum has created a new quality and customer service department, which will be led by Lourdes Brugera Moreno, currently director of logistics. In her place, Ricardo Marí Sanchis will lead the logistics department, having previously served as director of customer partnership and marketing. This latter position will be filled by Silvia Lázaro Pérez, who is promoted from her current position as purchasing executive for salty foods. All these appointments took effect on October 1.
According to the company, the new quality and customer service department will integrate and expand its expertise in quality, food technology, nutrition, and customer service, with the goal of "responding to current challenges in quality standards, technological innovation in food, and new consumer demands."
Joan Vall, new president of the Mediterranean Arc of Auditors
Joan Vall, president of the College of Certified Public Accountants of Catalonia, assumes the presidency of the Mediterranean Arc of Auditors (AMA) after two years as vice president of this European professional body. He thus succeeds Manuel Ibanez from the previous French presidency, following the system of rotation by country for all AMA bodies. The new board of directors also includes vice presidents Sylvie Marty Bely, representative of the Regional Council of the Order of Certified Public Accountants of Occitanie (France), and Ugo Pollice, representative of the Order of Commercial Accountants and Accounting Experts of Turin (Italy).
Joan Vall holds a degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) from Abat Oliba University, a degree in Learning to Grow (8th edition) from Iese, and is a collaborating professor of accounting and finance at Ramon Llull University. An accountant accredited by the Register of Accounting Experts (REC) and a member of the Official Register of Auditors (ROAC), he is also a partner at Grant Thornton's Barcelona office.
António Manuel Borges Vaz, new CEO of Correos Express
Correos Express, the express parcel delivery subsidiary of the Correos Group, has appointed António Manuel Borges Vaz as the company's new CEO. With more than 25 years of experience in the logistics and express transport sector, Borges Vaz has held various senior management positions at leading companies such as Rangel Expresso and CTT Expresso, in addition to developing his career at multinationals such as Accenture and OGMA. Since October 2023, he has served as CEO of Correos Express Portugal, where he has led the subsidiary's consolidation in the Portuguese market, strengthening its operational efficiency and customer proximity.
Cellnex appoints Luis Mañas Antón as Chairman of the Capital Allocation Committee
Cellnex's Board of Directors has appointed Luis Mañas Antón, currently an independent director, as Chairman of the Capital Allocation Committee, following a favorable recommendation from the Nomination, Remuneration and Sustainability Committee. The committee is now composed of: Luis Mañas Antón (Chairman), Jonathan Amouyal (Member), Christian Coco (Member), Ana García Fau (Member), Alexandra Reich (Member), Xavier Pujol (Non-Director Secretary), and Cristina Elías (Non-Director Deputy Secretary).
