BarcelonaWe've left behind a rather gray Tuesday with showers that fell across many areas from west to east. Rainfall was generally light, with most totals between 1 and 5 liters per square meter. However, on the southern slopes of the Pyrenees and the Pre-Pyrenees of Lleida, the rain was more continuous, exceeding 20 liters per square meter, while in the northeast, it barely rained a drop. We are currently experiencing the indirect effects of the storm. JosephThis highly changeable weather pattern will continue in the coming hours and days, with new fronts bringing showers, variable skies, more snow in the Pyrenees, gusty winds, and a rollercoaster of temperatures. Wednesday will be a day to bundle up, as temperatures will drop significantly, making for the coldest and most wintry midday of the week.

Wednesday: cold and a bit of everything

Between that night, early Wednesday morning, and the first hours of Wednesday, strong winds will be felt across many regions. Blowing from the west to the mistral, the wind will primarily affect the areas of Barcelona, Tarragona, northern Empordà, and higher elevations, especially in the northeast and the Pyrenees peaks. Additionally, strong winds will be present throughout the day in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands. Catalonia will experience a brief respite, but strong winds will return in the afternoon. All of this will lead to rough seas. Both Aemet (the Spanish State Meteorological Agency) and Meteocat (the Catalan Meteorological Agency) have issued warnings for rough seas and strong winds across the region.
