Waiting for a new change in weather starting midweek
Until then, calm and sunshine will prevail throughout the country.
The week has started very mildly, with sunshine generally and a marked temperature contrast between day and night. Minimum temperatures have risen significantly in higher areas this morning, but there is a marked temperature inversion, as it is moderately cold early in the morning on the plains and inland valleys, but we find values above 10°C at higher altitudes. And today's maximum temperatures will also jump forward, with a warmer atmosphere in the middle of the day. Calm and sunshine will prevail, with some decorative thin clouds. But we are waiting for the new change in weather that will arrive starting Thursday. A pocket of cold air will once again increase instability throughout our Mediterranean region, and it seems that the heaviest rainfall will once again affect the Valencian Community, the Ebro River, and the Balearic Islands.
Tuesday: calm and temperatures up
The night was once again very cool and generally autumnal, with moderately cold temperatures inland and in the Pyrenean valleys. In the latter area, there were still some light, temporary frosts. However, minimum temperatures rose compared to Monday, and the increase was marked at higher altitudes in mountainous areas, especially in the Pyrenees. Maximum temperatures will also be higher. Warmer temperatures will be expected in the middle of the day, with many temperatures between 22 and 27°C, locally higher in the southern interior and in the west.
All very calm and generally quite sunny. There will only be some intervals of low clouds in coastal and southern pre-coastal areas, especially in the morning. In addition, some high, thin cloud bands will cross throughout, which will be quite decorative. In the Empordà region, some northerly to gregal winds will continue.
Rain in sight
Wednesday will remain calm in most regions, but we'll already have the first signs of a change. Cloud cover will generally increase, and by the afternoon there will be some initial showers inland in the Valencian Country, with some possible on the southern side of the Pyrenees.
Starting Thursday, a pocket of cold air will once again fully affect our Mediterranean region, bringing marked instability and rain that could be heavy and abundant in some cases. According to current weather forecasts, the storm's main event would once again affect the Ebro, the Valencian Community, and the Balearic Islands. Much of Catalonia would be more isolated, but some precipitation would also arrive. This is still an uncertain situation that we will have to finalize, but it would directly affect the New Year's long weekend in the Valencian Country.
