Thursday less bright, cooler and with showers in some areas
The arrival of wetter and colder easterly winds will cause a sudden change in the atmosphere compared to the last few hours.
BarcelonaLow cloud cover has increased over the last few hours, and we've already had the first showers and drizzles, especially in the Girona and northern Barcelona regions. Thursday is expected to be even cloudier, with some light and scattered showers in the northeast, the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, the Ebro Valley, and the coastal areas, with a chance of drizzle in other areas as well. Temperatures will drop significantly, and it will feel cooler, after yesterday's highs still reached above 22 or 23°C in the western part of the Pyrenees and in some valleys of the Pre-Pyrenees and the western Pyrenees. This will all be due to the cool, humid easterly winds driven by the anticyclone, which has retreated further north. The new low-pressure system is located near the Canary Islands. ThereseBut this time it won't affect us.
More clouds and some showers
Overnight, the clouds that began arriving from the northeast yesterday have spread far and wide, and we can expect a cloudy Thursday. Cloud cover may be heavy at times, especially in the central and northern parts of the country. In contrast, the southern half and the westernmost areas will experience periods of clearer skies. Some light and scattered showers will appear in parts of the northeast, the Pyrenees, the Pre-Pyrenees, and Els Ports, and cannot be ruled out in other areas, particularly along the coast and pre-coastal regions. The snow level will be around 1,500 meters, locally lower in the eastern Pyrenees. It will also be a rather gray day with some light showers or drizzle in the Valencian Community. Temperatures will drop significantly inland and in the Pyrenees, and more slightly along the coast. It will be noticeably cooler, with temperatures no longer reaching 20°C. Many highs of 13 to 17°C are expected. Moderate easterly winds will blow along the entire coast, making sea conditions unpredictable.
No major changes in sight
Friday will bring sunshine back to most areas, with rising maximum temperatures. Saturday will be a pleasant and sunny day to enjoy, but showers and thunderstorms could reappear in several areas on Sunday afternoon. In short, we are experiencing a somewhat unpredictable weather pattern, typical of spring. Temperatures will fluctuate, but will generally remain within the normal range or slightly below average.
