Tuesday: More rain
Tuesday will be another very busy day with overcast skies. There will be more sunshine towards the Pyrenees – especially the western Pyrenees – and towards the west, as well as the northeast in the morning. Scattered showers are expected in the morning along the coast, the pre-coastal areas, the Pre-Pyrenees, and the southern slopes of the Pyrenees. In the afternoon, the rain could intensify and spread again along the coast, the pre-coastal areas, nearby parts of Central Catalonia, and the northeast. The snow level will be around 1,800 or 1,900 meters. Meteocat maintains alerts for locally heavy downpours that could produce more than 20 liters per square meter in just half an hour. There are also new warnings for accumulations of more than 100 liters per square meter in 24 hours in some districts of the southern half and northeast.
More rain is expected across the Valencian Community, locally with thunderstorms and some downpours. New changes on the horizon
Between Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will improve significantly, with more sunshine and little risk of rain. However, towards the end of the week, the weather will turn again, with a risk of further rain and more snow in the Pyrenees. This instability will continue through Christmas week. There are still a few days to go, and everything needs to be confirmed precisely. Temperatures are expected to drop with these changes, creating a more wintry atmosphere to officially welcome winter, which arrives on Sunday.
