A sunny weekend with more intense heat arrives

BarcelonaThe mercury has dropped much more this Friday, after a Thursday with highs of more than 36 or 37 ℃ in Alt Empordà, Segrià and in points of the pre-littoral, and it has barely exceeded 32 or 33 ℃ where it has been hottest. However, a weekend awaits us in which the temperature will recover and the sun will once again be the protagonist, with no risk of precipitation.

Saturday: sun and heat

Start of the weekend with very calm weather and absolute prominence for the sun. The minimum temperature will be similar or even a little lower, with very restricted tropical lows in coastal areas like the central sector. The maximum will rise after Friday's thermal drop, but will remain around the climatic average.

Sunday: 35 ℃ return

The anticyclone will maintain its absolute domain on Sunday, with weather dominated by the presence of the sun, good news for those who want to enjoy the beach or outdoor activities on the last weekend of August. However, there will be some low clouds around the Ebro Delta. The temperature will rise a little more and could already touch 35 or 36 ℃ again in Ponent.

Possible changes for next week

Next week will start very calmly, with a Monday dominated by the sun and still with high temperatures everywhere, but it seems that between Tuesday and Wednesday we could have symptoms of atmospheric instability, with showers and some strong thunderstorms in several regions. In no case is an abundant rainfall episode expected, but we will have to be attentive to the final distribution and intensity of the precipitation.
