Start of the week with showers on the coast and wind at extremes
Wind gusts could occasionally exceed 100 km/h.
BarcelonaAfter a very quiet weekend, during which temperatures climbed even further, surpassing 35°C in some regions, we'll see some changes next week... but not everywhere. The sun will remain dominant in much of the country, with the exception of the Empordà and the far south, where the wind will be strong, and the coast and central pre-coastal region, where the sky will be partly cloudy or overcast at times, and some locally intense showers could occur.
Monday: The slipstream will cause showers on the coast
Next week, the heat will remain very moderate, and the weather will be fairly stable, although between Monday and Tuesday, the Tramontana and Mistral winds, which will blow at the country's extremes, will bring offshore winds to the central coast and contribute to some scattered showers during the evening hours. In fact, a warning of danger due to intense rainfall from the Meteorological Service of Catalonia is in effect, affecting the regions of Barcelonès, Baix Llobregat, Garraf, Baix Penedès, and Tarragonès. Elsewhere, the weather will be much calmer, with sunshine and some harmless cloudy periods.
Tuesday: More coastal showers early in the morning
We'll be approaching the end of July with weather very similar to Monday's, marked by the possibility of showers on the central coast and sunshine in the rest of the country.
Ahead: The dog days will stay away
We could still experience a few showers along the coast early Wednesday morning, but the weather will tend to be more stable and calm in this part of the country. All this with a stable mercury and no heat in sight, very good news after an intensely hot start to summer that suggested a hellish heatwave.
