Minor changes today, but the rain will remain distant for now.
Only the passage of a couple of very weak fronts will bring some changes in the sky and local showers.
BarcelonaThe anticyclonic calm has persisted in recent hours, with generally sunny skies, frequent fog and low clouds in the morning, and a marked temperature contrast between the morning chill and the pleasant midday weather. This calm will continue to prevail in the coming days, but minor changes are on the way. For example, a weakened front will cross us today, bringing increased cloud cover. Therefore, the sky will be more overcast, but rain is not expected overall. Only a few very light showers or drizzles are possible in the Pyrenees of Lleida this afternoon. Another weakened front will cross us on Friday, with temperatures gradually decreasing. It won't be until next week that more significant rainfall is expected.
Wednesday: worn forehead
Today we will experience the very indirect effects of a weakened Atlantic front, as the weather will continue to be dominated by an anticyclone. Therefore, there will be increased cloud cover throughout the region, combined with sunshine, but without further consequences in most areas. Only a few light and scattered showers or drizzles are possible in the Pyrenees of Lleida in the afternoon, mainly on the northern slopes. Morning fog and low clouds will also return inland, in the pre-coastal areas, and along some coastal stretches. These are minor variations in an otherwise calm context, while the westerly wind will temporarily strengthen in higher elevations, especially on the Pyrenean peaks. Minimum temperatures have risen, and there is practically no frost in the early hours; maximum temperatures will be similar or slightly lower. Many temperatures will again range between 15 and 20 °C, above average, and there will be a marked temperature contrast between the morning chill and the mild midday weather. The temperature inversion will repeat itself at night and in the early morning, with colder temperatures at lower elevations than at higher elevations.
No major changes are expected until next week.
Thursday will be another calm and sunny day, with temperatures possibly dropping slightly. However, between Friday and Saturday, the passage of another weakening front will significantly increase cloud cover, and there's even a chance of some light showers or drizzle in the Tarragona region and along some coastal areas. These will be minor changes, with rain remaining absent throughout the weekend and temperatures falling. Only the mercury will rise in the western part of the country, as the fog will dissipate. The weather maps suggest that next week could begin with more instability and a greater risk of precipitation. But there are still several days to go, and everything is still too uncertain; we'll have to wait and see how this situation develops.
