A hotter week with some isolated showers
The thermometer will rise sharply again starting tomorrow in the West.

BarcelonaThe passage of a well-worn frontal tail has generated some showers in the Pyrenees and the Lleida Pre-Pyrenees, which has slightly lowered the temperature in the West and the high mountains. However, the heat is still present, with highs on Sunday still hovering around 35°C in the Lleida region and inland from the Ebro. Elsewhere, temperatures haven't cooled down much, and the heat, including muggy conditions on the coast, has remained noticeable.
The warm African air mass has not yet retreated, and between Tuesday and Wednesday it will approach our latitudes again, and temperatures will rise again, especially in the West.
(At the end of this report, you can find an assessment of the accumulated rainfall from the showers from early morning until midday in the Pyrenees and the Pre-Pyrenees).
Monday, hot flashes with some isolated showers
The morning will be sunny, with some thin and low clouds along the coast and the pre-coastal area. In the afternoon, cloud cover will develop in the Pyrenees, the Pre-Pyrenees, and inland areas of Girona, where isolated showers may occur, sometimes forming thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain high, above average, but not extremely hot. In the West, they will reach 35 or 36°C, and on the coast, they will not exceed 27°C. However, the high humidity will make the heat feel sticky and the feeling of comfort somewhat low.
Temperatures will drop slightly, especially in the north of the country and also in the high mountains, following the showers recorded on Sunday. However, this will be a subtle drop, as it will remain hot, with highs of 31 to 33°C in much of the inland and pre-coastal areas. In Lleida, they will reach around 35°C. Tropical nights will continue on the coast (during the early hours of Sunday, temperatures did not drop below 23.5°C in Barcelona or 23.7°C on Buda Island in the Ebro). Minimum temperatures, in many coastal areas, will continue to hover around 23°C. The sun will combine with bands of high, thin clouds, and in the afternoon, dark clouds will again grow in the Pyrenees and pre-Pyrenees, bringing occasional showers in La Garrotxa and Ripollès.
Warmer weather for Tuesday
Models indicate a new advance of the warm mass from North Africa, which will send temperatures soaring on Tuesday, with highs once again approaching 39°C in the West. On the coast, the salty sea will cool temperatures to around 28°C or 29°C, but the muggy conditions will still be noticeable. This is unbridled heat in an already extraordinarily hot June.
