Clear sky and thermal rise: the mercury will reach 25 °C
Sun and higher temperatures over the weekend and Easter Monday
BarcelonaThe Azores High will continue to guarantee good weather in our homes during the Easter holidays, with sunshine and mild temperatures that will fully usher us into spring, after days of strong winds and snow in the Pyrenees. With this weather, you can fully enjoy the snowfall in the Pyrenees, where in some cases there is more than 2 or 2.5 meters of snow, a thickness considerably higher than usual at the beginning of April. However, by the middle of next week, new changes with more atmospheric instability could arrive.
Saturday: sun and mildness at midday
The sky will remain practically completely clear everywhere, with the sun being the absolute protagonist of the weather, with the permission of some harmless and passing high cloud. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, but it will still be moderately cold in the morning in the inland regions. Maximum temperatures will rise notably, especially in Poniente and in the interior of the Ebro valley, with mild conditions in the middle of the day, and we will have many maximums from 18 °C to 23 °C, which will locally reach 25 °C in the Poniente and Ebro regions.
Sunday: no changes
We will finish the week with practically the same weather, still dominated by the sun, although more high clouds will arrive and during the morning there will be banks of low clouds on the south coast, which will break up as the hours pass. The temperature will maintain its rise and will reach the maximum values of the current year in many places, and temperatures above 26 °C or 27 °C will be exceeded in some areas of the Ponent regions. In the rest, we will have highs between 19 °C and 24 °C at midday, which will invite you to go out and enjoy the good weather.
Radiant end of Holy Week
The weather will be very pleasant with radiant sunshine on Easter Monday, with temperatures that will remind us more of May values than early April. Many highs of 20 °C to 25 °C are expected, but in pre-coastal and inland areas these figures will eventually be surpassed and 30 °C will be locally reached in Ponent and the Ebro interior. Thermometers will be more restrained on the coast due to the influence of the sea, which is still cold.
All this with thermal contrast between day and night, as well as an increasingly marked thermal inversion, since in the coming days it will be colder at low altitudes early in the morning than at high altitudes. After Holy Week, it seems that instability may return, so let's take advantage of these calm days.
