Calmer weather, but with nuances: where can showers fall on the weekend?

BarcelonaThis Friday the weather will be much calmer, and in the afternoon only some more localized showers will be repeated in the Pyrenees and eastern pre-Pyrenees and nearby areas of the northern interior. Although some isolated downpour is not ruled out in this area, the situation will have nothing to do with yesterday's, and calm will dominate in most regions. We wake up with a generally cooler atmosphere thanks to Thursday's rain, and warm minimums were only recorded in stretches of the central and southern coast, and in Terres de l'Ebre. Today temperatures will rise and the atmosphere will be warm. The weekend will see a repeat of afternoon instability in the north of the country and in some western areas, but heat and sultriness will be intense again in the coming days.
All this after yesterday's weather change caused an extensive spell of showers and strong storms that lasted until night and left more than 50 l/m² in some places. Highlights include almost 79 l/m² in Montsec d'Ares (Pallars Jussà), 58 in Sant Salvador de Guardiola (Bages), 54 in Das (Cerdanya) or 50 in Santa Coloma de Farners (Selva). Real downpours occurred, accompanied in some cases by hail, sleet, and strong winds, which caused various incidents, especially due to falling trees. The most affected areas were the Pyrenees and pre-Pyrenees, Central Catalonia, the northeastern interior, and the coast of Barcelona. The downpours also reached the coast, especially the coast of Barcelona, while regions like Garrotxa, Bages, or Ripollès suffered notable hailstorms, with stones the size of a golf ball.
Friday: more calm
We wake up with a more pleasant and fresh atmosphere in general, even very fresh in mountain areas and nearby areas. The minimums have dropped below 20 ºC in most regions and tonight it has been possible to sleep very well. The exception is found on the central and southern coast and in the Ebro region, where tropical or locally torrid minimums have been repeated. Calm morning and no rain anywhere, with morning fog due to high humidity as a result of Thursday's rain, and remains of cloud intervals in the northeast. The tramuntana and mestral winds will blow moderately during the morning in the Ebro region and in Alt Empordà.
In the afternoon, some local showers will be repeated in the Pyrenees and eastern pre-Pyrenees, and perhaps in nearby areas of the northern interior. Although some showers of a certain intensity are not ruled out, they will be much more local phenomena, nothing to do with the downpours and extensive storms of Thursday. Temperatures will rise inland and in the Pyrenees, and will remain similar on the coast, with mugginess. Intense heat in general, with many highs from 32 to 38 ºC in the pre-coastal areas and inland.
Warm weekend and new afternoon showers
The heat and stuffiness will remain intense this weekend, with only small ups and downs. The mornings will be calm and profitable, but in the afternoons, irregular showers and thunderstorms will repeat in parts of the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, as well as in nearby inland areas. Some will also reach the Ports, the interior of Valencia and Castellón, and Ponent, especially on Saturday.
On the other hand, near the sea, the sun and calm will continue to dominate throughout the days. Next week, thermometers will rise again due to the strengthening of the North African warm bubble, and even a new episode of extreme heat is not ruled out, coinciding with the total solar eclipse. Nevertheless, the maps indicate that the second half of August could begin with a clear drop in temperatures and more instability.
