Together with Feijóo: if you want to talk about it, go to Waterloo with Puigdemont

Junts has answered Feijóo that if he has a serious proposal to make, he should go to Waterloo and talk to Puigdemont, the party president, who is still waiting for amnesty

The PP has found itself trapped in its own logic: if the situation in Spain is so dire, what was the point of patiently waiting for the miracle that Sánchez would call early elections, a miracle they knew wouldn't happen? And they have decided to go on the offensive: Feijóo, who is in Barcelona today at an event organized by the Cercle d'Economia, has offered Junts and PNB a government without Vox to go to the polls. In other words, he is asking the PNB and Junts to vote for him to be president, and immediately, Feijóo calls elections as president of a government in which there would be no Vox minister. The PNB is not interested in the operation. Basque nationalist left-wing parties hinder him, and he cannot openly align with the PP, at least not so explicitly.

And Junts? We are in a position to explain to them that Junts has replied to Feijóo that if he has a serious proposal to make, he should go to Waterloo and talk to Puigdemont, the party's leader, who is still waiting for the amnesty. And that he shouldn't talk about it through the media. That Junts is not there to prop up either the PP or the PSOE, that they will not be less demanding with one than with the other. And that the shortest, most logical path to elections is for Sánchez to call them.

Junts has been quick to get rid of the problem: if the PP were to go to Waterloo to meet with Puigdemont, Vox would skyrocket. Besides, it would alienate the Madrid president Ayuso. And electorally, it is not convenient for them. Nor for consistency: there's no need to explain to them everything the PP has said about the independents and Puigdemont in particular, and how many times they have expressed opposition to the amnesty. For now, Sánchez continues to gain time until Saturday, when the Pope will arrive in Madrid. And so, little by little, he will make a reality of the phrase

Good morning.
