Girona / BarcelonaThe Sevilla-Girona match will not be played due to the orange alert in Andalusia, caused by the storm. MartenThe match, originally scheduled for Saturday at 6:30 PM, has been postponed until Sunday at 4:15 PM. Initially, the game was to be played today despite the rain, but Sevilla FC appealed to the sub-delegation of the government for intervention, arguing that it posed a risk to their fans traveling from other towns. After several hours of negotiations, the decision was made to postpone the match.

The news comes on the very day that German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, on loan from Barça to Girona, underwent successful surgery in Finland for a hamstring injury in his left leg. The surgeon was Finnish specialist Lasse Lempainen. "The operation was successful, and the player's availability will depend on his recovery," Girona stated in a press release. Girona has already secured Ter Stegen's replacement, as he will likely miss the remainder of the season. Quique Cárcel has gone to work and signed Rubén Blanco, formerly of Marseille, who was a free agent. However, the last time he played an official match was a long time ago, in 2014.

Uproar in Vallecas

This is the second Primera match that will not be played today. The match between Rayo Vallecano and Oviedo has been suspended because, as LaLiga announced in a statement, "at present, the pitch at the Vallecas stadium does not meet the necessary guarantees for holding the match safely." LaLiga emphasizes that Rayo Vallecano itself has made "significant efforts throughout this season to ensure the match could be played as scheduled." "However," the statement continues, "adverse weather conditions during the execution of these works, as well as the forecast for the coming hours, predicting continued rain, prevented the pitch from reaching the necessary optimal condition." In recent weeks, Rayo's coach, Iñigo Pérez, and several players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the state of the pitch, declaring it "unfit for a top-flight club" and calling it "a disgrace." In fact, Rayo fans have protested against club president Martín Presa.

Bad weather is disrupting this weekend's sporting events: the Ceuta-Córdoba and Cádiz-Almería matches in the Second Division have been postponed. Several First Division RFEF matches will also be postponed.
