Spain eliminated from the Women's Handball World Championship

The Spanish national team lost to one of the hosts, Germany (25-29), and was eliminated from the Women's Handball World Championship. Ambros Martín's team fell in the Main Round after only managing wins in Iceland and Montenegro in the second phase. The defeats against the Faroe Islands and Serbia proved decisive.
