BarcelonaOsasuna defeated Real Madrid (2-1) in a match decided in the final moments thanks to a goal by Raúl García. The goal was initially disallowed for offside, but after review, it was deemed valid, leaving Álvar's team reeling. Osasuna started with intensity, neutralizing a Real Madrid side lacking attacking clarity despite the movement of their players. Budimir was causing problems for the Madrid defense, while Vinícius struggled to find space and Mbappé was having an off day.

The controversy arose in the 35th minute when referee Alejandro Quintero González reviewed a possible footfall by Courtois on Budimir following a defensive miscommunication. The Croatian goalkeeper converted the penalty, scoring his twelfth goal of the season. Before halftime, Víctor Muñoz had a chance to put Alessio Lisci's team ahead. In the second half, Real Madrid improved slightly but remained struggling in attack. Mbappé scored a goal that should have stood, in a match where the home side looked increasingly tired after a strong first half. With 15 minutes remaining, Fede Valverde created a beautiful piece of play, and Vinícius equalized. And just when they were attacking Álvaro Arbeloa's team the most, Raúl García scored thanks to a great individual effort in which he broke the offside trap, outmaneuvered Asensio with a brilliant move, and beat Courtois with a low, driven shot across goal. Initially, it seemed the VAR official was telling the referee he was offside, but after two tense minutes, the goal was validated, sending El Sadar into raptures.

Barça, who lost first place in La Liga last Monday, can regain it and overtake Real Madrid if they defeat Levante this Sunday. Flick's team is now two points behind Los Blancos.
