Oriol Cardona wins gold medal at the World Ski Mountaineering Championships

Banyoles' Oriol Cardona has revalidated his title as world champion in ski mountaineering, in the sprint category, by winning the race in the Swiss resort of Morgins. With a time of 2 minutes 42 seconds and 4 tenths, he beat Frenchman Thibaut Anselmet by 5 seconds and local Kistler by 7 seconds.
