Barça wants to continue adding three points at a time in the league and maintain the good feelings from this start of the season. After another goal fest –in this case in Europe–, the Blaugrana visit Levante's stadium this Sunday at 16:15. "We are very happy with the level we are playing at, but we have to show it in every match. It is our attitude and mentality," remarked Hansi Flick in the pre-match press conference.
The coach has once again praised Raphinha after his brace in the Champions League. "He is playing at another level, it is incredible. When he is like this, for me he is one of the best players in the world." A position, that of forward, where he has alternatives with Gabriel Jesus and Hamza Abdelkarim, renewed until 2030. The German, moreover, reminded that footballers like Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Dani Olmo or Fermín López can also play in this area of the field.
For their part, Levante arrives after a victory –a 5-2 goal fest against Betis–, a defeat –against Espanyol on the first matchday (3-0)– and two goalless draws against Osasuna and Málaga. With five points, the Valencians sit in the middle of the table. "Barça is one of the best teams in the world, but the match starts at zero to zero," asserted coach Luís Castro.
Barça has the absences of Frenkie de Jong –who is suffering from a tear in the medial collateral ligament of his right knee– and Roony Bardghji –with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee–. On the other hand, Eric Garcia will be available after the blow he suffered to his face at the Valencia stadium and will be able to play with a mask. Levante, meanwhile, will not be able to count on Etta Eyong due to injury.
