GironaTwo months after the end of the La Liga season, Girona has yet to make any signings and is, along with Real Sociedad, one of the two teams that hasn't reinforced its squad this summer. Opinions on the subject are starting to decline: from the eight to twelve names on average announced by sporting director Quique Cárcel on June 3rd, Míchel Sánchez said immediately after the final that crowned him champion of Catalonia: "We must think about the club's finances." A shocking statement that hides some problems.

Because there are two key factors that explain why no new faces are arriving at Montilivi, so it's no longer clear whether he could enter into any negotiations. In fact, the leading candidate is now Viktor Tsygankov, whom some place in the Premier League for a fee that could rise to 20 million. They will try to bring in Miovski without losing the investment made, with the question of what will happen to players like Jhon Solís, who could also leave. They change. Quique Cárcel recalled that the average number of transactions per season since he's been at the club is between eight and twelve signings, but didn't confirm how many there would be. At Sabadell, after stating: "We have the structure and we shouldn't put a cross on anyone," he said that the economy is at a high level for everyone – "We have to look out for what's best for the club" – and he edited the number of signings that will arrive: "We will make them, but I don't know how many. It depends on the departures."

The Madrid coach spent the entire second half of last season saying that Girona hadn't been able to conduct a proper preseason, and that this had prevented the team from acquiring the necessary mechanisms to flow as intended. He hoped that reinforcements would arrive soon this summer so that the same thing wouldn't happen again. But he no longer says this. He now believes they have "a spectacular base" and states: "There are players we signed last year who will improve." But the dismay is evident, because the "spectacular base" is identical to the one that scored 13 points out of a possible 57.

From the locker room, however, they have already begun to raise their voices and call for help. "I think we're a little late with the signings; we need some fresh air," Krejci told Zamora's Opinion, a message similar to that of Yangel Herrera in The Deportivo"There's a certain amount of uncertainty. We don't know who will come, how they'll adapt, or how long it will take them to understand the manager's ideas. The later they arrive, the more complicated it will be." La Liga starts on August 15th. There are only three weeks left.
