The Les Colladetes wind farm begins a new phase and opens investment to the public.
With only six new wind turbines and a commitment to local participation, the renovated park aims to become a model of energy transition from the territory

Investing in a greener and more sustainable future is one of the main objectives of many companies today. Fundeen, the leading co-investment platform for sustainable energy projects and an agent of change in the European energy model, is no exception. The web portal is one of the first European providers of crowdfunding, that is, the means by which its users can contribute funds to the initiatives they wish. In this case, Fundeen promotes the Les Colladetes wind farm repowering project and opens investment to the public. The initiative, led by Enervent, will build six wind turbines in the municipality of El Perelló through local economic participation.
For the past 20 years, this area of Baix Ebre has been occupied by 54 turbines, and is now entering a new phase to transform into a project with less impact and greater efficiency. The construction company, owner of the management of the Colladetes, with more than three decades of experience in the wind energy sector in Catalonia, will have the support of the European Next Generation EU funds, a banking institution, and the public. Anyone residing in the province of Tarragona will be able to invest with a minimum of 1,000 euros through the Fundeen platform.
The plan is to replace the wind turbines installed in the 1990s and that no longer meet current needs with six state-of-the-art ones. This will reduce the visual impact and noise pollution of the natural landscape while maintaining the same capacity of 36.6 MW. Thanks to this project, which is expected to last until the second quarter of 2026, the wind farm is expected to supply more than 33,000 homes with renewable energy, avoiding the carbonization of up to 12,700 tons of CO.2 per year. Likewise, Les Colladetes Park offers a way to generate renewable energy and, at the same time, establish a relationship between citizens and the region.
Citizen participation has been structured so that the economic benefits remain as close as possible to the region. For this reason, the first users eligible are residents of El Perelló (from August 5 to August 19), followed by citizens of Terres de l'Ebre and those living in municipalities located within 25 kilometers (from August 20 to September 3), and finally, the rest of the province of Tarragona (from September 4).
With a 10-year term and an estimated annual return of 9.25%, the loan will pay interest semiannually and is defined as subordinated, meaning it is collected after the main loan of €49 million, thus offering a higher return. The project is expected to raise a maximum of €3.7 million in citizen investment and a minimum of €1 million for its success.
For those interested, several public meetings will be held in El Perelló to explain how the investment works and provide instructions on how to register for the project. On September 2nd, the project will be presented in the meeting room of the Hotel de Entidades from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. with the participation of Joan Herrera, an energy and environment expert, and the Fundeen team. In parallel, on September 6th, a mobile office will be set up in Plaza Jaume II from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the Weekly Market to answer questions from potential investors.
Participation in the transformation of the Les Colladetes wind farm is now a reality and can be done through the Fundeen website, where users can use their postal code to check whether they live in an area eligible for participation. The portal also allows users to calculate the expected return based on the amount invested. Currently, the company has more than 16,000 registered users and has received an external award with the BCorp seal, which defines the company as sustainable. Fundeen has already financed more than 30 sustainable projects throughout Spain, saving the atmosphere more than 500 million tons of CO.2, and continues to raise funds for a more environmentally conscious future.
