Marlex celebrates 30 years of history, growth, and commitment to talent

The company, born in Girona, closed 2025 with a record turnover of 180 million euros and aims to reach 400 million euros in 2030

In a labor market that has radically changed in the last three decades, there are companies that have not only known how to adapt, but also to anticipate and grow alongside businesses and people. This is the case of Marlex, which in 2026 celebrates its 30th anniversary as one of the major references for talent and human resources in Spain. What began in 1996 as an entrepreneurial project born in Girona is today a group with more than 500 professionals, more than 80 offices, and a turnover of 180 million euros. But, beyond the figures, the Marlex story is that of a company built on proximity, trust, and a firm conviction: that people are the true engine of economic and business growth. Founded by Jaume Sanabras, Marlex was born with the intention of responding to the real needs of the local business fabric, at a time when the labor market was beginning to transform profoundly. That vision initially materialized into two complementary companies: Marlex People, specialized in temporary work, and Eurogrup Consulting, focused on the selection of qualified profiles.

From the first day, the project opted for a different model: close, agile, and profoundly human. The opening of the first office in 1997 marked the beginning of constant expansion. Years later, Jaume Sanabras would define that strategy with an expression very representative of the company's culture: to grow like an "oil stain", moving forward step by step, territory by territory, without ever losing the quality of service or the connection with people. This sustained growth has made Marlex one of the most solid players in the sector. In 2019, the group already had 55 offices, more than 150 human resources specialists, and a turnover of 87 million euros. After the impact of the pandemic and in full generational change, the entry of Marc and Àlex Sanabras into the management drove a new stage of transformation and acceleration.Today, with Àlex Sanabras at the helm as CEO, Marlex is experiencing a period of consolidation and strategic ambition. The company closed 2025 with a record turnover of 180 million euros – 12% more than the previous year – and maintains an ambitious growth plan with the objective of reaching 400 million euros by 2030.

In parallel, the group has evolved towards an increasingly specialized model with higher added value. New firms have been added to the historical activity of Marlex People, such as Sarah Marlex, specialized in executive search and leadership; Paul Marlex, focused on middle management and specialized talent, and LTC Marlex, focused on strategic consulting and organizational leadership.More than a diversification, this evolution responds to a single vision: to accompany organizations in all talent-related challenges, from the incorporation of operational profiles to the construction of management teams and business cultures capable of transforming companies.

A celebration with the group's professionals and business meetings

The celebration of the 30th anniversary has also served to highlight the path taken alongside clients, collaborators, and professionals who have been part of Marlex's history. Among the commemorative initiatives, the gathering held at Peralada Castle stands out, which brought together for the first time more than 500 group professionals in a day marked by recognition, emotion, and shared pride.

The company has completed this commemoration with business meetings in spaces such as IESE Business School, Fundación Telefónica and the Girona FC stadium, in addition to a digital campaign and various actions aimed at clients and partners strategics.
