Enjoy autumn in the Ebro Delta: activities, nature and all kinds of accommodation at Taiga campsite
The temperature, the unique landscapes and the gastronomy make the Delta an ideal space for a family getaway
Autumn transforms the Ebro Delta. The rice fields change tone after the harvest, the wetlands regain prominence with the passage of migratory birds, and the sunsets offer a particularly characteristic light. Autumn is an excellent season for a getaway to the Ebro Delta, as it allows you to discover it while enjoying a very pleasant temperature. On foot or strolling quietly by bicycle among the rice fields, or enjoying nautical activities along the river, which is the artery that connects a territory that never ceases to surprise.
The Delta also offers a unique cultural and gastronomic side. At this time of year, products such as rice, artichokes, or eel gain prominence on the menus of local restaurants. Another highly recommended activity is a visit to the mussel farms which, in addition to the boat trip, also includes an interesting explanation of how these mollusks are farmed, as well as a tasting of their products.
In this context, Taiga Delta de l’Ebre offers unbeatable facilities that allow you to be in contact with nature with the maximum possible comfort. This camping resort, located in L'Ampolla de Mar right next to the beach, is spacious and quiet, and features different types of accommodation, all of which are very comfortable and fully equipped. Taiga Delta de l’Ebre also has a supermarket and Restaurant Bama within its facilities, a cozy place specializing in rice dishes and seafood, with a cuisine designed to let you enjoy the products and recipes of the Ebro. The facilities welcome the whole family, so you can come with your pets.
From the campsite, you can book unique experiences such as Paddle Surfing in the Fangar Bay or rent bicycles to get lost among the impressive landscapes of the Delta.
Bassegoda Park, the other option
Taiga also has an idyllic spot in Albanyà, in the Alt Empordà, within the Alta Garrotxa Area of Natural Interest and in an environment of forests and mountains near the Pre-Pyrenees. The Bassegoda Park is an ideal starting point for hiking or cycling routes, forest excursions, activities on the Muga river, and other adventure proposals. Bassegoda Park is, moreover, an astronomy destination. Within the same campsite is the Albanyà Astronomical Observatory, which offers observation sessions and outreach activities. The low light pollution in the area and its dark sky make Albanyà a place especially suitable for observing stars, planets, and constellations.
In addition to these two very special campsites, Taiga has up to six more resort campsites, all with a high level of excellence, in Andalusia, the Valencian Community, Murcia, and Aragon.
The Halloween excuse
These days, the Taiga resort campsites are also preparing their own special Halloween programming for the weekends of October 23rd to 25th and October 30th to November 1st, with activities designed for both adults and children, such as trick-or-treating, the costume contest, face painting, or a horror passage with an Escape Room.
Both autumn, with its pleasant temperature and distance from the summer crowds, and the Halloween celebration are a good excuse for a getaway to enjoy nature.
