ValenciaThe Civil Guard is investigating the discovery of the bodies of an Irish couple, aged 50 and 45, inside a house in the Cap Blanc urbanization in Cullera, in the Valencian region of Ribera Baixa. It was their two minor children, aged 14 and 16, who found the lifeless bodies this Tuesday afternoon. According to sources close to the investigation and as reported by Efe, the couple showed apparent signs of having consumed drugs.

No signs of violence were observed on the bodies, and it is not ruled out that the couple's death was due to substance abuse, given the puncture wounds they both presented. Their children, aged 14 and 15, found their parents naked inside the jacuzzi of the home around 5 p.m. and alerted a neighbor, who called 112.

Possible accidental death

The Homicide Judicial Police team of the Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation, since, although initially the cause of death is unknown, there is "some indication that something strange may have happened", sources from the Armed Institute have indicated. The news was reported by the newspaper Las Provincias, which indicates that the bodies showed injuries that appeared to be puncture wounds, although accidental deaths are not ruled out. The social services of the Cullera City Council have taken charge of the minors, who do not speak Spanish and have special needs, while they await the arrival of a relative.
