The Civil Guard is investigating the discovery of the bodies of an Irish couple, aged 50 and 45, in Cullera, Valencia. It was their two underage children who found the lifeless bodies this Tuesday afternoon. According to sources close to the investigation and as reported by Efe, the couple showed apparent signs of having consumed drugs.

No signs of violence were observed on the bodies, and it is not ruled out that the couple's death may be due to substance abuse, given the puncture wounds present on both. Their children, aged 14 and 15, found their parents naked inside the jacuzzi of a house in a housing development in the coastal town. It was around 5 p.m. and the minors alerted a neighbor, who then called 112.

The Homicide Judicial Police team of the Civil Guard has been put in charge of the investigation, as, although the cause of death is not initially known, there is "some indication that something strange may have happened," indicated sources from the Armed Institute. The news was first reported by the newspaper Las Provincias, which indicates that the bodies presented injuries that appeared to be puncture marks, although accidental deaths are not ruled out. The social services of the Cullera City Council have taken charge of the minors, who have special needs.

The removal of the bodies took place around 11:30 p.m. this Tuesday, and it is expected that an autopsy will be performed on them this Wednesday to determine the cause of death.
