The Irish press echoes the death of the foreign couple in Cullera, Valencia

ValenciaThe Irish press has echoed the terrible events that occurred on August 25, when a couple of this nationality was found by their children in the jacuzzi of the house they had rented in the Cap Blanc urbanization in Cullera, Valencia.
The minors, aged 16 and 14, had to receive psychological help from the Red Cross, which sent a professional to speak with them in English, as they did not know Spanish, and to help them with the shock before relatives arrived from Ireland to take charge of them and carry out the relevant procedures.
Hypotheses
Last Tuesday, August 25, the two children found their parents naked and lifeless in the jacuzzi of the house they had rented. The children alerted a neighbor who immediately called 112.
It was 5:00 PM when the discovery was made and the judicial police homicide team of the Civil Guard took charge of the investigation. The bodies presented puncture wounds.
According to sources, the most likely hypothesis in the investigation as the cause of the couple's death is drug consumption, as no evidence has been found that someone had entered the house by force, and violent death is ruled out for now.
However, with the evidence found, investigators do not rule out that one of the members of the couple suffered an accident in the water and that the other tried to help him, without success. The police are investigating both the jacuzzi area and the biological remains and water samples. The autopsy, therefore, becomes a key piece of evidence to discover what happened.
Irish media have echoed the devastating news and have clarified more information about the couple and their lives, such as the fact that the woman was from Monaghan, in the north of the country, near the border with Northern Ireland, in the United Kingdom.
Castleblayney councillor Paul Gibbons, in the same Monaghan, has shown his "condolences and support to the family" and also highlighted that this couple, along with their children, were a "highly respected" family in the local communities of the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association), Ireland's main sports and cultural organization.
Gibbons also wanted to emphasize that "there is uncertainty surrounding this terrible incident at the moment, but we must hope that it is a tragic accident and not something more tragic".
